HOUSE DOCKET, NO. 4420 FILED ON: 6/26/2023

[edit]

How can a bill seemingly violate so many rights at once? Can someone please break down the reasoning behind this bill and how it could be perceived as a step in the right direction? 1) Why does the bill seem to specifically target law-abiding citizens? 2) Why does the bill seek to make law-abiding citizens suddenly criminals? 3) Does Mr. Day have some personal vendetta against licensed gun owners that is public knowledge? 4) Are anti-gun voters aware that off-duty police officers will no longer be able to protect us in most places, should the bill be passed?

I am asking these questions as a regular citizen interested in peace of mind from predatory animals that cross through my yard daily, a growing crime presence in town, and also just my knowledge and beliefs about rights in the USA. This is not meant to be a rant, but to open actual dialogue and awareness of the ideas on both sides of the argument. Badironyexample (talk) 15:32, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
