Bigjdq Edits to Michael Schwimer based on current ventures

[edit]

I've been trying to edit this page for some time now. I'm a college student who enjoys sports gambling and as a result, was captivated when I saw that ESPN was going to start doing a show about gambling, The Daily Wager. My friends and I tuned in every night after class to get picks for that night's slate. When March Madness was being discussed, I saw Schwimer on DW talking about basketball analytics. It did not make sense to me because I knew him as a former MLB player. After digging into what he has done for the last 4 years I found his story very interesting, and something that would definitely be helpful for other viewers such as myself to understand. I completely understand that this should not be promotional at all and apologize if the language seemed promotional to you all. That was certainly not my intention.

My goal is simple. There are a lot of people, like me and my friends, who watch ESPN's Daily Wager and are wondering why Schwimer is qualified to talk about basketball and football and the first logical place to look is Wikipedia. The only way I know how to clarify that is to talk about Big League Advance and jambospicks.com on his page. I am going to post it on Wikipedia a different way in hopes that it is acceptable to Wikipedia standards. If it is not acceptable, can you please work with me on the language to make it acceptable? Thank you. Bigjdq (talk) 15:44, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. Wikipedia can be frustrating, especially for newcomers. I have adjusted you contributions now. In general, it has been trimmed quite a bit, to not give it undue weight. Long quotes should be avoided. I couldn't find a reliable source stating that he founded Jambos, but it is clearly true, perhaps you can. ― Heb the best (talk) 00:20, 23 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
