  • Given that no published secondary source exists for this Michael Tuomey, I would argue that the Michael Tuomey (1805-57) who served as State Geologist of Alabama from 1848 until his death and established the geological basis for the development of the state's iron and steel industry is more notable, and that this article should be relegated to a parenthetical disambiguation.
