Notability[edit]

Michal Irani seems to easily meet WP:NACADEMIC, "Academics meeting any one of the following conditions, as substantiated through reliable sources, are notable":

1. The person's research has had a significant impact in their scholarly discipline, broadly construed, as demonstrated by independent reliable sources.
Irani has received multiple awards for research in the field of Computer vision, demonstrating significant impact.
2. The person has received a highly prestigious academic award or honor at a national or international level.
Irani is the recipient of the Rothschild Prize, the Helmholtz Prize and two other named international awards.
3. The person has held a named chair appointment or distinguished professor appointment at a major institution of higher education and research, or an equivalent position in countries where named chairs are uncommon.
Irani is a professor at the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the Weizmann Institute of Science, a major research university in Israel.

Any one of those three should be sufficient to establish notability. --RexxS (talk) 13:55, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
