Hello fellow Wikipedians. I thank those (very few) of you who already contributed and the few who will do so in the future. Please note that the first reference (link to my TOL author page) is now obsolete; it only links to my new Museum home page, which is accessible through the sixth and seventh reference, so I think that it could advantageously be replaced by one of these. But given Wikipedia's policy on autobiographies, I would rather not do this myself; I have not contributed to this page and would like to keep it that way. - I have adjusted the references and made some adjustments to better reflect the sources. Have I overemphasized or underemphasized anything? Peter Brown (talk) 18:27, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks Peter. I think that the text is overall well-balanced. However, I think that the fact that I am Chief Editor of the Comptes Rendus Palevol is more significant than serving on the editorial board (as one of more than 80 members) of the Journal of Evolutionary Biology, even though that journal is more prestigious and better-known, with a greater impact factor. And on a factual note, the terms in the ISPN are for three years (not two); if you want to see the correct years during which I served as President or Secretary, I have summarized them on my user page. For President, that is tricky because each president goes through a three-year cycle. On the first year, as President-Elect; on the second, as President; on the third, as Past-President. So there are three (one of each) simultaneously. That information is also available on the ISPN web site somewhere, I think. Michel Laurin (talk) 19:28, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, I've added Comptes Rendus Palevol. Aside from fixing the punctuation, I'm leaving "president 2008–2009" alone as it accurately reflects the source. Peter Brown (talk) 22:14, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
