Edit this article[edit]

Good evening,

I was wondering if someone could help me amend this article. I was speaking to @scottywong before Christmas. I am new to Wikipedia. I had no idea there was an article about me until my current workplace brought it to my attention as they were not mentioned. There are also some mistakes and misconceptions in the (very tiny) article as it currently stands. I would love the article to be representative of the truth, if someone could help me. And, I do not wish to make the mistake of adjusting it myself, since I obviously have “conflict of interest”.

I have read the suggested articles; and, if I understood correctly, the best way to amend an article, is to ask over here, in ‘talk’? I am very new at this, and have no experience of Wikipedia article writing; so I am sorry if I misunderstood.

This is my website, should anyone wish to see how different things are to the article currently on Wikipedia: www.michellecastelletti.com

Thank you for your help. I truly appreciate it. Michelle

Hi Michelle, and welcome to Wikipedia! Yes, this is the right place to suggests to this article. Wikipedia articles are written based on summarizing reliable secondary sources. Typically, self-published sources like blogs or personal websites aren't considered reliable (since anyone can publish anything they want), but it is acceptable for some basic, uncontroversial details about itself (See WP:ABOUTSELF). Ideally, this article should heavily use anything written about you in reputable, reliable, independent sources (see Wikipedia:Reliable sources for what Wikipedia considers a reliable source). Are there any news articles about you we can use to help improve this page? Thank you, POLITANVM talk 22:36, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for replyling @Politanvm! I shall have a look at what is available online. There should be quite a lot! I am more concerned with removing certain things. For example, my last university degrees are from the University of Oxford, so I would prefer that to be correct. Here are some links. Would it be correct to just paste them here? Do please just say if I have misunderstood. Thank you again for being so kind. Michelle
Is this enough? I just did a quick search on google to try and find other sources. Thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate it! MichelleWaysOfSeeing interdisciplinarian (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 21:05, 6 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Michelle, that's a helpful list! I'll read through them and try to update this article. Please keep in mind that all Wikipedia editors are volunteers, and most of us just edit in our spare time, so I can't make any promises about timing. If there is anything clearly incorrect, or any specific text changes needed, I suggest using the instructions Scottywong left on your talk page (copied below). This will help editors more quickly review and update the article.
  • Click the "new section" button at the top of this talk page
  • Copy and paste all of the following text into the page:

{{request edit}}
*Information to be added or removed: ADD TEXT HERE
*Explanation of issue: ADD TEXT HERE
*References supporting change: ADD URL AT LEAST
~~~~
  • Replace the "ADD TEXT HERE" and "ADD URL AT LEAST" parts with the appropriate information.
  • Wait for an editor to respond. (This can sometimes take a few hours to a few days, depending on how backlogged we are, and how many editors are interested in editing that particular article). I can also try to keep an eye out for requested edits and respond to them more quickly, but I'm not always here either, so I may not see them.
