Untitled[edit]

Michael Frank Goodwin has been found guilty at the Los Angeles Superior Court in Pasadena, CA KABC 7 has a snippit of the news [here] —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nemesisrune (talkcontribs).

The introduction of this article is skewed toward Thompson's involvement in off-road racing which came later in his career and is not a balanced reflection of his life. He came to prominence in drag racing and land speed racing, also as a speed equipment manufacturer. Rupertlt (talk) 12:00, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In the article it says TWO gunmen were involved, but that just Frank Goodwin was convicted.
Was Goodwin one of the actual shooters? What about the other guy(s)? I remember at the time hearing news reports that two black men were seen riding away on bicycles.Goodwin is white AFAIK.
Why did it take investigators so long to get the facts? —Preceding unsigned comment added by BrianAlex (talkcontribs) 01:25, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

“Los Angeles Times” or “Times-Mirror”[edit]

According to the current article “he worked for the Los Angeles Times newspaper”. Paul Clifton's “The Fastest Men on Earth” (German edition 1968) says he worked as a journalist for the Times-Mirror. Are both newspapers the same? ----141.13.170.175 (talk) 16:45, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mickey Thompson was married twice[edit]

I've added Mickey Thompson's first wife, Judy, to the InfoBox. Judy is the mother of their son, Danny Thompson. I'm not sure how to source information added to the InfoxBox. My source is http://www.hotrod.com/articles/danny-thompsons-motorsports-mom/. Jayscore (talk) 04:23, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cose paraphrase concerns alleviated[edit]

The Regular Car Reviews Podcast on this is very closely aligned to what is written here. I've checked through the history, they copied us not vis versa. Thanks, L3X1 ◊distænt write◊ 15:29, 24 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Age discrepancy[edit]

according to the article Thompson increasingly pursued land speed records at the age of 4. Born in 1928 and persuing records in the late 20's and 30's. This makes no sense. 192.43.238.226 (talk) 21:38, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
