Camp Wapello[edit]

There has been a lot of controversy over exactly how to portray Camp Wapello on the council page. In the future all discussion on camp wapello should take place here on the talk page. After discussing the way to appropriately move forward we will do so. For the time being all edits regarding camp wapello should be referred to the talk page. It has been proposed that the camp wapello section be changed back to: As of 2008 Camp Wapello is no longer being managed by the Mid Iowa Council. Camp Wapello is located on the water’s edge of Scout Bay on Lake Wapello in the southeastern part of the council. It was a part of former Southern Iowa Council and is now managed by a private foundation, the Camp Wapello Preservation Group, dedicated to sustaining the camp and Scouting in southern Iowa.
