Grammar

[edit]

I am thinking of putting this page through a grammar check. The grammar and spelling on this page is just horrible. Whispering 03:18, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sites of interest

[edit]

Listing of Dow Chemical and Dow Corning plants as sites of interest seems a bit odd. Would it be better to create a new section about major business and industry? How are these issues handled in other city entries? Redunitone 18:40, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd be interested to see how this type of thing is handled in other entries. What makes Midland relatively unique is that it grew into the size it is today almost entirely due to Dow Chemical and Dow Corning. Previously, the town thrived due to the forestry industry, and would probably be a small town were it not for Dow. Anyone know of other towns which grew to their size due to a large corporation growing from them that we could mirror? Perhaps a section on the history of the city would do well to explain. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bakkster Man (talkcontribs) 12:54, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

America's Best Tennis Town

[edit]

Can someone add this new detail to the page? I don't see it already listed on the page, and I believe it's a notable piece of information about the city. deadlyMETAL | Discuss? 14:11, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I have added it and other information about local sports and sporting arenas. Please help update it. Thanks! Bakkster Man (talk) 19:12, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Need for Infrastructure Section

[edit]

It seems this page would benefit from an Infrastructure section such as Chicago or Detroit has. The section on "Power" would likely better fit under infrastructure, with the possible exception of the single point about Dow Chemical and nuclear reaction. Other cities list Utilities, Healthcare and transportation under such a heading. Redunitone (talk) 20:17, 2 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I created the "Infrastructure" section, and changed the section level of "Power". • SbmeirowTalk00:48, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
