Picture of Harlinsdale Farm

[edit]

Anybody mind if I add this picture:

to the article with a caption saying something like, "The longtime home of Midnight Sun, Harlinsdale Farm, as it appears today"? The photo came off Commons.White Arabian mare (talk) 21:46, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, we need some images here! Montanabw(talk) 01:42, 5 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I added it in Life and Winnings. White Arabian mare (talk) 15:43, 5 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Comments

    [edit]
    • In the section "Life and winnings", it starts off with, "Midnight Sun was foaled on June 8, 1940, out of a mostly Standardbred mare named Ramsey's Rena and by the stallion Wilson's Allen." Shouldn't that be, "and sired by the stallion..."?
    • Shouldn't the third paragraph of "Life and winnings", start off with the sentence, "Midnight Sun was trained by Fred Walker"? As it is, having it at the end of the paragraph, with the details that are discussed beforehand, makes it seem more like an abrupt afterthought.
    • Moved that to the more appropriate place. I think he was initially trained by Winston Wiser, but I have to find a source for that. WAF
    • Also, in that paragraph, what part does the mention that "Exhibiting horses then wore ordinary keg shoes" play in Midnight Sun's particular biography? Again, this seems, at least the way it is presented, like a random insertion, and one that best applies to a more generalized article on the subject of exhibiting horses, than the biography of one in particular.
