This is a pretty good article; I like all the research that went into it. Here are my suggestions:

Lead

• "was"->"is" It still is a comic book series.

This is a stylistic convention used to denote that the series is no longer running.

The manual of style advises against it: "By default, write articles in the present tense, including those covering products or works that have been discontinued." Fearstreetsaga (talk) 05:02, 17 August 2018 (UTC)

Ah, okay. Wasn't familiar with that part of MOS. It's been changed.

• The lead mentions that Midnighter first appeared in Stormwatch (Volume 2) and that the series is also known as Midnighter (Volume 2) to differentiate itself from the character's previous series. This should be included in the body of the article.

I've removed the first appearance blurb and replaced it with a link to the character's article. I've also replicated the differentiation between the two series in the Publication History segment.

Background

• 'In September 2011, after the conclusion of the "Flashpoint" story arc, the WildStorm Universe was merged into a rebooted DC Universe in a relaunch known as The New 52.' Could you explain what the "Flashpoint" story arc is, and how this relates to the WildStorm Universe and DC Universe for those who might not know?

I've provided a brief summary of Flashpoint, noting that WildStorm was a DC imprint whose universe was merged into the main universe.

• "The character first appeared in a new Stormwatch series released as part of the first wave of titles, and was a younger, single version of the character, replete with a new costume." This sentence seems to imply that Midnighter was first introduced during The New 52 relaunch, whereas the lead says it was introduced far earlier than that.

I've made it more clear that this is referring to the character's reintroduction in New 52 continuity. Removing the original creation info from the lead helps this be less confusing, imo.

Publication history

• What does the quote add to the article? I suggest either explaining the relevance of the quote in this section or removing it.

It was leftover from pre-cleanup. I've removed it.

Conception and development

• Regarding the image, the image description page and the reference contained within it say that the image supposedly shows Marlowe, but that this is not confirmed. I would recommend modifying the caption to reflect this.

• The second last paragraph is unsourced.

Added sources to Grand Comics Database which shows artist participation on the series.

• "Stephen Mooney, who is also associated with Grayson" How so?

Clarified to reflect Mooney pencilling both works.

• I think Tom King's quote talking about the titular character's inclusion in Grayson is straying too far from the topic of the article. I would suggest removing it.

I disagree. It shows a notable comic creator discussing the unique nature of the character.

Plot

• "He finds another weapon while saving Amanda Riley, a little schoolgirl who was kidnaped by Multiplex, while working for Mr. Rohmer" This sentence is ambiguous. Who was working for Mr. Rohmer, Midnighter or Amanda?

I've made this more clear and explained that Rohmer, a corrupt businessman, was employing Multiplex.

• "Midnighter then goes back to Matt's father's house and attacks him" You should indicate when he first left the house.

This now notes that Midnighter left and went to a local bar to investigate.

Setting

• "Both are unusual locations for a DC superhero to operate" This introduces a point of view. I would either mention someone who stated these locations were unusual or remove this statement.
• "most of them are portrayed living in DC Universe fictional cities or places" Who does most of them refer to?

I changed this to note that this was a break with DC tradition, most stories published by DC take place in their own fictional locations rather than the real world.

Cancellation and DC Rebirth

• "Midnighter's first DC Rebirth apparition was in Nightwing Rebirth #1" What do you mean by apparition here? Did he appear as a ghost, in a character's vision, or in another manner?

I made this more clear. Midnghter's first appearance is in a flashback sequence in the mentioned title.

Reception

• 'Reviewing the first issue, David Pepos from Newsarama gave it a maximum score, saying that "There aren't many books out there that I'd call perfect, but it's perhaps not surprising that Midnighter earns that praise."' The quote doesn't tell me why he gave it a maximum score. What did Pepos like about the book in particular?

• 'Matt Santori-Griffith of Comicosity reported Midnighter as "not just the gay hero I always wanted, but it's the comic I've always wanted, period" in his review of the sixth issue.' Could you expand this by talking about what aspects of the comic he liked?

• The article goes from a review of the 3rd issue, to the 6th, 5th, 8th, 10th, and 2nd in that sequence. I feel that these reviews would be better organized if they were listed chronologically.

Reordered.

• In the 2nd last paragraph: Could you include the names of the reviewers here, where they are available?

Added where available. Comic Crusaders was not (I'm honestly thinking that one would be okay to delete).

• What do the reviewers from Geeked Out Nation and Comic Crusaders like about the 12th issue?

Plenty. Added.

Sales

• "Digitally, Midnighter performed significantly better, being present on ComiXology's Top 30 best-selling comics ranking during most of its release weeks." Source?

Could not find a source, so I removed it.

Accolades

• I feel that this section could be merged with the reception section, since they are both talking about the reception of the series.

Done.

• The table should include the names of the people from those publications who gave it that ranking where available. This is only done for three of the publications so far.

Done where feasible.

Collected editions

• I feel this section should be moved to come before the "Sales" section. It can help provide context to the "Sales" section, which talks about Midnighter: Out and Midnighter: Hard.

Done.

Midnighter and Apollo

• I would mention when the series ended in this section since it is included in the lead.
