WP:LEAD
  • After reading the LEAD, my main question is when did he stop playing 3rd base? I am especially curious whether he played third in his MVP seasons, most notably his triple crown season. This issue reminds me of Rod Carew who mostly played 2nd base from 67-75, but won MVP in 77 when he played over 150 games at 1st base. Did Cabrera play something like his first 9 seasons at third, but switch to 1st before his most important seasons? Looking at BR.com, it seems that there is a lot of explanation necessary regarding his position. It seems he played mostly OF from 03-05, 3B 06-07, 1B 08-11, 3B 12-13, now 1B again.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 10:12, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Early life
  • I think this is about the minimum possible content in this section for a GA. It might be nice to know the name of his high school, the names of any siblings, and some brief discussion of his athletic exploits that led to him being signed. He must have played baseball before being signed for someone.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 20:47, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Please find a WP:RS to use as a WP:IC.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 20:59, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Minor leagues

I have just noticed how many paragraphs are devoid of any WP:IC (about 2 dozen). Please find a WP:RS for every fact in the article. Then review WP:WIAGA before resubmitting this article for review. I am failing this article because it fails WP:V.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 20:59, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
