The article now has good prose; the only two issues I found have been resolved. Wilhelmina Will (talk) 11:28, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
- (a) the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct; and
- (b) it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation.
Article provides citations to reputable sources throughout, and does not appear to contain any original research.
- (a) it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline;
- (b) reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose); and
- (c) it contains no original research.
Article has good coverage of the main aspects of its subject. Covers the main points and contains no trivia. (a) it addresses the main aspects of the topic; and
- (b) it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style).
Article shows no bias over its subject. Wilhelmina Will (talk) 09:11, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
The article was created on January 3rd; it has been edited sporadically since then, but no edits appear to be induced by conflict. Wilhelmina Will (talk) 12:10, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
There is one image used in the article at present, and it has been released under a valid free license. Wilhelmina Will (talk) 09:54, 25 January 2012 (UTC) Also to note: While the image does not have a caption, it doesn't really need one, since it's used in the infobox. Wilhelmina Will (talk) 12:08, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- (a) media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content; and
- (b) media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions.
Comments
[edit]- In an edit made a little while ago (which I noticed after refreshing the page) the intro section has been reduced to only two sentences. I should point out that a good article must have an intro which provides a basic summary of the information provided in the article, for those who want to learn about the subject but aren't able to take the time to read the whole thing. (If a re-expansion of the intro was intended, just ignore this). Wilhelmina Will (talk) 12:14, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- I have now expanded the lead further. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:24, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry that it's taken me a while to get back here; time management's been rough. The lead looks better in terms of length and summarizing of content; I'll look through the rest of the article tomorrow. :) Wilhelmina Will (talk) 11:38, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

- "Small quantities of Millepora alcicornis are gathered for the curio trade." Which curio trade is that? I looked up the term but there is no link for that specific phrase in Wikipedia - is there an article for the subject under a different name? Wilhelmina Will (talk) 08:59, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
- A curio is a "rare or unusual object" according to my dictionary. I have changed the sentence to read "Small quantities of Millepora alcicornis are gathered for sale to collectors." Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:34, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
- Okey-doke! Wilhelmina Will (talk) 11:24, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
