Hello. I've probably got this wrong as I do so much here, but I suffered an appalling revelation when I found out that this ministry was apparently called the Ministry of Public Building and Works between 1962 and 1970. I had previously been unshakeable in my belief that it was the Ministry of Public Buildings and Works. I've checked among publications from the time and yes, oh horrors, the S-less version is all over them. It's also here in some sort of inhouse comic book thing called Hansard. Who knew? Well, not me, obviously. I had this kind of folk etymology in which it made perfect sense with Buildings. Gah! I am going to start correcting them and in my ES's will link back to this comment. If you know that I am wrong then great, please explain and produce your evidence. Otherwise, it looks like I have got some editing to do in order to atone for my decades of higgerance.
