When it's biography, shouldn't someone remove tag "{current event}"? I don't find any current event in biography genre. Thanks for any comments.--Pooh-winnie 17:22, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What did Topolanek say[edit]

As for some recent changes - IMHO these do not interprete Topolanek's statements entirely correctly. Topolanek had said: "A Dušek to rozehrál moc ošklivě, to bylo, to šlo strašně, protože, co je to obyčejnej Čech, pro kterýho dělá Paroubek politiku? No to je přece vepřo, knedlo, zelo a v podstatě je třeba všechny zavřít, nakopat do prdele." transl. "And Dušek started it awful, it was, it went terribly - because who is an ordinary Czech whom Paroubek champions? Pork with dumplings and sauerkraut and essentially it's necessary to imprison everyone and kick up their ass." Topolanek is possibly a half-wit unable to render his thoughts correctly even in his native Check language, but his statements as quoted above are extremely ambiguous at least. He had not stated expressly that he attributed these thoughts to ČSSD voters - he had just put these expressions past his characterization of ČSSD voters. Therefore I would propose to incorporarate a direct translation of his words / or to reinsert the alternative interpretation of his statement into the article, because it's unclear what he had actually mean, and his apology does mention 'apology to the citizens of CR', but I'm not sure in what sense he meant his original statements.--85.207.121.16 (talk) 19:37, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Doubts - yes[edit]

I agree - it's not entirely clear from his statements transcript that he was ascribing these attitudes to them or if he was expressing his opinion on them - he just put his rant about "necessity of imprisoning everyone" past his description of Paroubek's electorate. (Google translation is not much helpful, too - "A warm Dusek's too bad, it was, it was awful because of what is ordinary Bohemia, Which one makes for Paroubek policy? Well that's pork, dumplings, cabbage and basically be all close, kick ass.")
From translations of the interview this is not clear. Are there any reliable sources interpreting it?--78.128.176.54 (talk) 21:53, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No objections were raised so far, so I'm going to change according to the outcome of the discussion.--85.207.121.16 (talk) 18:32, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.

The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.

Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 05:26, 23 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
