Initial Feedback[edit]

@Paige.vogt: Your article looks like it's off to a good start. More stuff to establish notability would be useful. Looking for things that are not only about the people/winners but about the contest itself would be best. I don't think you're in bad shape in terms of notability with the subject but I think you can make a much clearer sense. The tone is pretty good and reads relatively neutrally. Can you gather a list of all winners since 1983? It seems like a table with a list of winners would be the kind of thing that one might expect in an encyclopedia article on the subject. Keep working on it. I think it's pretty good shape! —mako 22:48, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Anna's Comments[edit]

@Paige.vogt: This is a really interesting topic that I hadn't heard of before. I made a couple very minor grammatical edits and also added 'North' to the sentence "...but also because it is believed to help overturn stereotypes held among the broader American population". I'm not sure if 'North American' population is accurate, but it seemed so based on the mention of contestants being from North America. I agree that a table with a list of winners would be great if you have that info. Germanna84 (talk) 03:45, 29 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikilink style[edit]

A few minor style comments. Wikilinks should generally occur on the first instance of a term and then not again in the article. This could be checked against every bluelinked term, I think it might need fix-up for Standing Rock Sioux and Gathering of Nations. We generally discourage linking common terms but to fix the "underlinked" hat note other Native American culture specific terms could be included. Suggestions:
