Joan Brown[edit]

The page for Robert Alda notes his first wife, Joan Brown, was crowned Miss New York. Robert was born in 1914, and is listed as marrying Joan in 1932. Their son, Alan, was born in 1936. This, I assume, would place her in the 1930-1936 range?

See also http://boards.ancestry.com/thread.aspx?mv=flat&m=4258&p=localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.queens where her name is given as Joan Browne.

Note: I couldn't find her on the Find A Grave site. Hope this helps! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Darci (talkcontribs) 22:09, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Marie McDonald aka Cora Marie Frye[edit]

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0567891/bio lists: "Kentucky-born Marie McDonald, born Cora Marie Frye in 1923", "Marie's mother remarried and the new family moved to Yonkers, New York" and "A Powers model at 15 (she lied about her age), she quit high school and started entering beauty contests, winning the "Miss Yonkers" and "The Queen of Coney Island" titles, among others. In 1939 she was crowned "Miss New York," but subsequently lost at the "Miss America" pageant." Hope this helps! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Darci (talkcontribs) 22:20, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Marsha Metrinko[edit]

Did Marsha win a Non-finalist Talent Award in 1945 at the Miss America pageant or didn't she? --TMProofreader (talk) 15:58, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
