2006 merge proposal[edit]
First, I think this article could easily be merged with mission (Christian) and second, even though there were many negatives to missions, this article could be worded a lot better when expressing those deficiencies. There are a number of prosperous cities around the world that began as missions. - IstvanWolf 00:26, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
i feel this article is very good but leaves out the fact that many missions eradicated native religions and cultures. thus stripping the world of valuble spiritual information.193.115.175.247 15:29, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
2021 merge proposal[edit]
Although any religion can have missions, this article is only about Christian missions. It should be merged with Christian mission. The page should redirect to missionary, because mission is not specific to any religion.
The only problem is that, the article does not explain the missions of all religions which is its topic, but solely Christian missions.
And then I just saw the template saying that this article is part of the Christianity project. It shouldn't be, but that is the proof that it should be merged to Christian mission.
