Removing apparent plagiarism[edit]

In checking a reference, I came across six sentences by two editors that are identical to sentences from a cited, non-public domain source, without attribution/quotation marks. Some were later edited very slightly, but given their origin as apparent plagiarism, I'm removing the sentences.

This Wikipedia article was started on 27-Oct-2008 by user Burnopfielder1.

A 27-Oct-2008 edit (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mississippi_map_turtle&diff=247993067&oldid=247992914) by Burnopfielder1 added three sentences that are identical to sentences on what appears to be a personal website called Austin's Turtle Page, "Females are considerably larger than males. The male being 3 ½” to 5” and the female anywhere from 6” to 10” SCL. Males have a leaner look more like juveniles, but females have a bulkier build." The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine recorded a snapshot of Austin's Mississippi Map Turtle page from 2006 at https://web.archive.org/web/20060508183839/http://www.austinsturtlepage.com/Care/caresheet-mississippi_map.htm .

A 7-Dec-2009 edit (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mississippi_map_turtle&diff=330331109&oldid=290568052) by LordNatonstan added Austin's Turtle Page as the first reference cited in the article, replacing an unreferenced tag. I wouldn't consider that an appropriately reliable source, although that's a minor issue compared to plagiarism, and I mention that only to suggest that it not be relied upon for future edits.

A 3-Jun-2015 edit (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mississippi_map_turtle&diff=665355447&oldid=665185746) by IP address 74.215.79.191 added another sentence that is identical to a sentence on Austin's Turtle Page, "Map turtles get their name from the lines and markings on their carapace which resemble the contour lines of a map."

A second 3-June-2015 edit (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mississippi_map_turtle&diff=665357783&oldid=665356429) by the same IP address added two more sentences that are identical to sentences on Austin's Turtle Page, "They occur in the Mississippi Valley from Illinois and Nebraska, down into the Gulf States from Mississippi to Texas, usually in rivers, lakes and large streams (not typically in isolated farm ponds or small creeks). They tend to prefer habitat with abundant vegetation."
