Origin of the Name[edit]

Y'all, if you're going to create a page about minor league teams with crazy team name, I implore you: please explain the origin of the name! I will bet money that 95+% of the traffic to this page is people wondering why the heck a baseball team is called the PaddleHeads. Can any locals or minor league historians able to help out here? After reading your comment, I did a little research on the team's unusual name and the explanation behind it. I just took a crack at summarizing the team ownership's thought process and wrote a brief description on the article page. Feel free to adjust.
