– No WP:PRIMARYTOPIC following the creation, six weeks ago, of the disambiguation page.     Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 07:05, 6 July 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 17:59, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The indisputable fact remains that a large majority (70%?, 80%?, 90%?) of disambiguation pages have no primary topic. As for those that do, particularly {hndis} pages, WP:COMMONSENSE must prevail. Although there are other people named John Kennedy, Winston Churchill or Elizabeth Taylor, the primary in such instances is immediately recognizable. Most primary topics, however, are not so obvious. There is a regular recurrence of RMs regarding WP:2DAB pages and individual circumstances govern the approach to other ones, such as Bob Brown, where a retired political figure with no international prominence remains as the primary topic over 21 other men named "Bob Brown" because he has support from a number of editors (Talk:Bob Brown#Requested move [June 2014] and Talk:Bob Brown#Requested move 6 January 2017)
In the case at hand, whatever the number of users who may have typed "Mitchell Lewis", the possibility that they were researching the silent film character actor whose roles during the sound period dwindled to unbilled bits and who died more than 60 years ago, seems fairly remote. The creator of the actor's entry was the first to indicate support for this nomination.    Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 19:18, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

– The character actor, who died 66 years ago, had a few starring roles during 1910s and 1920s, but was primarily cast in supporting parts, continuing into early talkies. After 1934 and until his death in 1956, he played bit parts, mostly unbilled. The Mitchell Lewis (disambiguation) page also lists Mitchell Lewis (footballer), musician/composer Mitch Lewis as well as a car manufactured by the Mitchell-Lewis Motor Company and the historic Mitchell Lewis Building. The actor does not seem to have sufficient historical standing for a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 01:51, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
