Name[edit]

@Mahensingha: any idea what is going on here? The opening sentence refers to Rao Raja Mitra Sen but the article title is Rao Mittar Sain Ahir. I can't even see the source properly and do wonder whether this is actually a notable person? - Sitush (talk) 17:47, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Sitush: As per the given source, correct name of the subject is "Mitrasen Ahir, the Rajah (King) of Rewari".[1] He seems to be notable Ahir chief of Rewari, even the google book search gives 414 results for the name "Mitrasen Ahir" and 21,100 results for "Rao Mittar Sain Ahir". though many of them looks from common source. Going through some of the books, I conclude that both the names belong to the same person and the name vary due to local linguistic reasons. In my view, the article needs more attention and efforts to make it completely meaningful. Regards.--MahenSingha (Talk) 17:45, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. So do we need to rename the article? - Sitush (talk) 19:30, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the article can be renamed to "Mitrasen Ahir", the correct name as per modern sources but the body of article must have the other name too because in many sources the subject is mentioned with the corrupt spelling as "Mittar Sain Ahir".--MahenSingha (Talk) 18:03, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate[edit]

"He fought against many enemies, including Muslims, Marathas, British and Kachhwaha (Shekhawat) rulers of Jaipur" is not sufficient and the grammar of the sentence frames the groups states as enemies. Name specific groups instead of races or don't name them to begin with. HaptenWin (talk) 01:34, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
