Suggestion to combine with article Salaula[edit]

I would like to propose that can article be created called, Second Hand Clothing Market Africa that combines this one with the article Salaula. Break downs by country could distinguish country and regional differences. --Librarianhelen (talk) 15:15, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You are quite right to spot the similarities. But I'd prefer to see both Mitumba and Salaula properly integrated into Global trade of secondhand clothing, and then those words can redirect to the comprehensive article. It states "The world largest importers of used clothing are Sub Saharan countries, receiving over 25% of global second-hand clothing exports." Carbon Caryatid (talk) 11:41, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I see your point. Global trade of secondhand clothing, needs a lot of work but that's neither here nor there. I am thinking the the terms Mitumba and Salaula currently both benefit from direct Wikipedia results from a Google search. How could this be accomplished if they were merged into the global trade article? I'm relatively new to Wikipedia. Any ideas? --Librarianhelen (talk) 00:12, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
(By the way, indent with colons, not spaces.) I think I know what you mean by "direct Wikipedia results" but Mitumba and Salaula can still benefit from indirect results. Make sure that the words are used within the target article Global trade of secondhand clothing at least once, clearly and prominently. Then, once you have merged the info, and the stand-alone articles become redundant, delete them and use the Wikipedia:Redirect function to get readers to the right place. If you need more help, ask at Teahouse. I forget the name of the process to correctly extinguish an article, but a volunteer there will know. Carbon Caryatid (talk) 19:23, 6 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
