Is it correct that "The Bill failed after it was passed to a Select Committee"? My understanding is that a *select* committee scrutinizes the work of the executive. A *standing* committee normally scrutinizes legislation. 78.32.157.45 (talk) 08:45, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
