Needs stub, not copyedit tag. I'm switching it, and will wikify it tomorrow. TheConsortium 05:36, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Might somebody possibly have a photo suitable for addition to this entry?64.128.73.42 (talk) 17:01, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can anybody speak to whether or not 1/48 scale model combat is sufficiently noteworthy to warrant inclusion in this entry? 72.86.57.33 (talk) 15:21, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not familiar with 1/48 other than the Civil War Group. It can be added under types, or a sub cat under Big Gun I suppose if it's descended from the Big Gun format. Probably need to format the Big Gun section better for all the sub categories under it which are all different formats on their own. Admiraljkb (talk) 16:31, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was referring to the 1/48 scale described on the Queen's Own Website. Is that a format for which ship models exist or is it still a proposed format?72.86.57.33 (talk) 10:21, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah. Quite right. I can ask Paul about it. Don't see a reason not to add it. I don't *think* it's currently an active format. Thanks for the editing assistance. Admiraljkb (talk) 02:47, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For the Small/Fast gun debate, I've put both since there isn't a commonly accepted nomenclature in the Small/Fast gun community at this time. It is known as both Small Gun and Fast Gun internally and externally to the Small/Fast Gun community. Admiraljkb (talk) 12:53, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it may be time to break this article down into organizationally specific articles with the main "Model Warship Combat" article being a history and a general description about the hobby. The organizational articles can go into greater detail about what they do regarding construction, rules, etc. Additionally, there should also be a disambiguation for "Model Warship Combat, Inc." in this article due to the name conflict just as there should be one on the "Model Warship Combat, Inc." organizational article for this article. Additionally, there really isn't a format claimed by the "Fast Gun" community. They just refer to their rule set in that, "Oh, I battle under MWC, IR/CWCC or Treaty rules", as "Fast Gun" is how the hobby started. That's just been maintained over the decades.
