Undue Weight

[edit]

The issue of "undue weight" to history largely stems from the renaming of the article... the bulk of interest in the property is within its earlier history... the rebranding in 2011 leaves it as a subservient addition to Modern One which totally underplays its role in Edinburgh history.--Stephencdickson (talk) 12:49, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How can the history be correct when building started in 1831 but the railway company (North British Railway) was not formed and received its Act until 1844? 82.28.236.130 (talk) 22:45, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
How could Bonar contrive a plan in the 1830s with Lady Glenorchy when she died in 1786? How could the Hospital be built from 1831 when Learmonth was not brought in to the idea and gift the land until around 1833? There is no mention in the history of the Hospital published in 1833 that Bonar did anything, in particular it does not show him as providing any funds. The source, Grant's Old and New Edinburgh, provides no evidence for what is stated. It appears that the whole paragraph is pure invention and should be replaced.82.28.236.130 (talk) 15:39, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is editable - you can edit the article and add correct information yourself, as long as it is supported by reliable sources. The material you're criticising is unsourced and can legitimately be removed. Cnbrb (talk) 14:45, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
