Brewing coffee

[edit]

A popular science blurb, "The math of brewing coffee can model anesthesia," is cited to show that her research relates to anesthesia. But the journal article cited in that blurb, "Percolation model of sensory transmission and loss of consciousness under general anesthesia, Physical review letters, 115, 108103, 4 Sept 2015, is authored by a team of researchers named not including Steyn-Ross, namely David Zhou, David Mowrey, Pei Tang, and Yan Xu. Steyn-Ross is only listed in the blurb as a physicist not involved in the research, who provides a two sentence opinion of the study. That does not seem appropriate as a reference.
