Hmm shouldn't the name for this article really just be named "Mokopuna"? That's its Māori name, there is no "island" suffix. To illustrate my point, look at the articles for the other 2 islands in the harbour; it's "Matiu" and "Makaro" in Māori and "Somes Island" and "Ward Island" in english - but not Makaro Island and Matiu Island. Also, I'm 100% sure that the island is not 200 metres long and 80 metres across; I've seen it on maps and in real life and it's tiny.Kotare 11:35, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re the size of the island, I agree it's a bit surprising at first look, but if you check it out on Google Earth (using the handy ruler function) you'll find lines of over 190m from tideline to tideline along the longest axes on the main islet. To an extent you can make the measurement come out to anything you like, but 'about 200 metres' seems a pretty reasonable approximation for general purposes. If all the outlying islets and rocks were included as part of 'Mokopuna' you could construct lines about 350m by 170m. (Pinot 21:38, 6 July 2007 (UTC))[reply]
