House of Ellis?

[edit]

No mention in the online biography of the ms/draft as having that title. SatuSuro 12:14, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"1954" picture

[edit]

That picture really cannot be of a woman of nearly 80. I'd suggest it is closer to the DH Lawrence era. Bigmund (talk) 08:21, 19 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

CNNRC on this name

[edit]

Mollie is the common and accepted nickname for Mary. I do not think we need to highlight it in the opening, based on what the manual of style says about these things.John Pack Lambert (talk) 21:28, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Rubbish. Mollie is not "the" common nickname for Mary, but a rarely used one, and not even a majority usage for the nickname -- not to mention the widespread use as an actual given name. It is also clearly the subject's "professional alias", and the preferred form in scholarly writing. You would have seen this if you had reviewed the entire page. Your practice of reviewing only the first line of an article and reclaiming your views as authoritative is condescending and destructive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.226.2.153 (talk) 21:47, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
