New article
[edit]This article has been established, in parallel to similar articles such as Manchuria under Yuan rule, Tibet under Yuan rule, Korea under Yuan rule and Mongolia under Qing rule etc. --Cartakes (talk) 11:47, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
By the way, some IP user marked it as duplicated to the Yuan dynasty article, but this is in fact absurd. Both the focuses and the contents of these two articles are completely different, obviously. Regions such as Mongolia, Manchuria, Tibet, Korea were all under the rule of the Yuan dynasty, but you can't say they were duplicated to the Yuan dynasty article itself. According to for example the book "Mongolian Nomadic Society: A Reconstruction of the 'Medieval' History of Mongolia" by Bat-Ochir Bold, p91, "Mongolia was one of the 12 provinces (including the central province) of the Yuan dynasty. Just like other provinces, Mongolia was governed from the provincial chancellery (hsing zhongshusheng), which was located in Kara-Korum". This article exists just like similar articles such as Manchuria under Yuan rule and Korea under Yuan rule, as Mongolia, Manchuria and Korea were each governed by a single Yuan province. Even China was governed by the Yuan, but not as a single province, and it might not be very easy to define its actual extent during the Yuan (for example, did it cover all areas under the former Southern Song dynasty and Jin dynasty (1115-1234)?). Furthermore, the article Mongolia under Qing rule exists too for discussing Qing-era Mongolia, which was an outer region of the Qing. --Cartakes (talk) 11:54, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
- Don't delete comments! This is a just continuition of chinese propaganda like Yuan was chinese state. The Yuan was a Mongol state i.e "Mongolia governed by Mongolia" / Mongols governed by Mongols. Tibet ruled by the Yuan / Mongols /non-Tibetans. There is lot of difference. The article needs to deletion or redirect.

- No, you are not correct about either the "propaganda" or "duplicate" thing. In fact, by removing/redirecting the article you are actually trying to ignore how the Yuan governed Mongolia itself. The Yuan dynasty is an overview article about the dynasty, not an article about how the Mongolia steppe was governed by the Yuan. Yeah the Yuan was a Mongol state; in fact the article in no way says Yuan was a Chinese state, so the so-called "propaganda" does not apply. Yet this does not mean this very article should be deleted/redirected. Again, this article focuses on how Yuan governed Mongolia steppe, just like the article Mongolia under Qing rule which focuses on Qing-era Mongolia. The Yuan was a Mongol state, but at the same time we should not ignore how the Yuan governed Mongolia itself. The article is named in parallel to Mongolia under Qing rule etc, also per source as it was governed as a single province. --Cartakes (talk) 12:42, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
Removed Template WP Mongols, this article not supported by this project. This article supported by pro-chinse user cartakes. Yuan under Yuan rule? Nonsense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.72.192.145 (talk) 12:49, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
- "pro-chinse"? You are simply labeling other editors, which is not correct in Wikipedia. In fact, some IP user (probably yourself) had tried to label User:Ogress as a "Chinese" user for similar issues (in Talk:Rouran Khaganate#Chinese User:Ogress vandalised the article for example), which was proved false. --Cartakes (talk) 12:54, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
- Man everyone always thinks I'm a Han Chinese nationalist and I have no idea why. It's super bewildering given that I am not particularly pro-Chinese in any way. Ogress smash! 18:12, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
