Number of columns

[edit]

I deleted the assertion that monopteroi in Germany "usually have only four to eight columns," for several reasons: Firstly, of the eight images of German monopteroi currently in the article, not one shows a monopteros with less than eight columns, and four actually show monopteroi with ten or more. Secondly, nowhere in the article do we say how many columns monopteroi outside Germany usually have, so readers have no standard to compare against, which renders the word "only" rather baffling. Thirdly, the wording "usually have only four to eight columns" is a mistranslation from the German-language Wiki article's "manchmal nur vier bis acht Säulen hat"--"manchmal" means "sometimes," not "usually"! 206.208.105.129 (talk) 18:16, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The "Temple of Venus" at the Linderhof Palace seems another good example 47.570022, 10.960852 http://www.gregoryferdinandsen.com/Images/MUC2001/Linderhoff,%20Gazebo.jpg 81.157.161.128 (talk) 00:13, 5 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
