Fact or Fiction
[edit]Hello,
Wikipedia recommended that I read about the Montserrat slave rebellion of 1768. But then I arrived at this part: "the plot was disclosed by a 《female slave 》 leading to a successful quashing of the rebellion."
Why would a slave turn against their own? What was in it for her? The island's slaveholders were a bunch of hateful jerks who starved their unpaid workers. They wouldn't have cut a deal with a slave, woman or not.
In the reference section, there's only 《Bush, p. 67 》What is that supposed to mean? I require clarification. Thank you.
