List of notable alumni

[edit]

Is there any interest in a list, particularly for people for whom there are wikipedia articles, it is something found for many other tertiary institutions. Paul foord 23:32, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV Issues

[edit]

This article is largely written in a promotional style that is against Wiki policies. It needs substantial rewriting to bring it up to standard. Afterwriting 15:48, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I must disagree. What specific section is it doing promotion? Also, where is it not NPOV? Please substantiate the claim and I'll try to assist in rectifying. - Ta bu shi da yu 14:14, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree about the NPOV requiring a rewriting. The article, as it stands, is excellent for a pamphlet, but not an encyclopedia entry. I suggest brief biographical detail of notable figures, instead of mere linking, also there needs to be references for notable achievements. Controversies are ok to list too, and may be written sympathetically as well as satisfying NPOV. If people around the world are taking classes, what are these classes? What about pre theological certificates? Who was Broughton Knox? What about links like St Thomas' Moorebank? DDB 12:24, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that it's a pamphlet & doesn't address the role the College has as a seed-institution for calvinist clergy except in a rosy way, nor that it supports a minority in the wider Anglican church in Australia, nor how this creates issues at Synod etc. The content level can be found on any comparable college website. The college is not only Calvinist but privileges systematic theology and the like. Btw, COI may be present and need more than rectification if done by anyone with COI. Broughton Knox - surprising to see the Dr. and some of the others in red link land. Manytexts (talk) 07:48, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment

[edit]

I see no discussion about the importance of this topic. Given the unique place this college has on Sydney Anglicans, and many other conservative Anglican areas, I don't see how it initially was assessed as "low-importance"? - Ta bu shi da yu 03:38, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
