Fair use rationale for Image:Lewismoran.jpg

[edit]

Image:Lewismoran.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:04, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge of Judy Moran to here

[edit]

Judy Moran was proposed for deletion. I closed the debate as "delete" but that was disputed and the article was restored. The current content is all about her husbands/partners and sons who were killed. There are references that show she has been noticed, but nothing substantially about Judy Moran herself has been added to the article since July 2007. The content is very similar indeed to what is already here. It is therefore proposed that the small differences from what is already here be merged here and Judy Moran made into a redirect here. If further material can be added later, the article could be forked off again. Discussion recently has been at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Judy Moran, User talk:Bduke#Judy Moran and User talk:Nick Dowling#Judy Moran. Please indicate your opinions below. --Bduke (talk) 04:44, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I support this merge for the reasons given by Bduke. Nick Dowling (talk) 04:53, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I oppose the merge. The Judy Moran article clearly passes WP:N and was wrongly deleted after the recent AfD. Consensus was clear keep. If you really want to get rid of it take it to AfD again but for goodness sakes go with the community decision. Pity you restored it actually. A deletion review was needed.--Sting au Buzz Me... 11:48, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Merge tag removed as not enough support for a merge. Article has sufficient references to stand alone.--Sting au Buzz Me... 23:23, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mispronunciation

[edit]

"The surname is almost always mispronounced by Australian broadcast media as "more-ANN" rather than the correct, "MORE-inh""

Very true, Australians are usually pretty ignorant when it comes to Irish names. Have an Australian pronounce the surname Doherty for a few laughs. Noisedoes1 (talk) 17:30, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
