Notability[edit]

Since this is a character in 24 i don't see a reason for this to have a notability issue. Vicgp3 04:13, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:Notability (fiction). Every single character in a television show is not notable simply by virtue of being in the show, but regardless notability has a specific meaning on Wikipedia. —Centrxtalk • 08:02, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Morris is set to become a series regular in the soon-to-premiere sixth season, so one could assume much more will be learned about him in the coming episodes.--Kevin Walter 00:32, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There need to be reliable published sources that focus on this character, such as books, magazines, and academic journals with "Morris O'Brian" as their main subject. Please read those guidelines. Also, Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. You may instead be interested in the Wiki 24 or similar fan sites. —Centrxtalk • 11:17, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I understand, and I have altered the merge tag to Minor characters in 24 instead of the main article at 24 (TV series). However, I consider it highly likely Morris will soon warrant his own page since he is returning in season 6. [1] That seems to be the general idea for other similar characters. --Kevin Walter 19:14, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The article about Morris O'Brian should be merged into Minor CTU agents in 24. PKT 14:18, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As seen in tonight's premiere, Morris does have a major part in this season. I have been working on cleaning up the article and adding information from this season. Any lingering objections to removing the sources/merge tags? (I'll wait five days before taking action myself.) --Kevin Walter 04:21, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the tag should be removed, and it has been over 5 days. I am reluctant to remove it myself, so could someone else please do it. Lan Di (talk) 23:05, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The merger tag has been removed. He was a series regular in season 6, and may return for season 7. Angelriver (talk) 23:43, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Angelriver, in several of these mergers, the policy WP:CRYSTAL has been pointed out and you ought to read it. Basically, Wikipedia does not predict notability, such as you are doing by saying 'he may return for season 7'. If it is not a solid fact, do not venture a guess. I may end all suffering on earth by myself one day but that is nowhere near a good reason to give me my own article. If you don't know it for sure, don't mention it. asyndeton talk 19:29, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In an interview with Mary Lynn Raskjub, she specifically says that "Morris will be back in some capacity for day 7." That is hardly considered a "guess" on my part. And feel free to leave your sarcastic tone to someone who might appreciate it.Angelriver (talk) 19:40, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I apologise for my sarcastic comment; it was unnecessary and didn't help matters. However, despite the interview below, I feel that he isn't worthy of his own page. Saying 'he'll be around' doesn't tell us anything about how much he will feature in season 7 - in fact, it strikes me as meaning he won't be very important. If notability is established though, he could be demerged. asyndeton talk 15:32, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Apology accepted. Thank you. My question is this--why be in such a rush to merge the article? It isn't hurting anyone or anything by being there. Instead of creating a situation that may involve extra work, I suggest leaving the article in place until his notability, or the lack thereof, can be established in the new season. Angelriver (talk) 16:32, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Can you find a source for this interview?--Lucy-marie (talk) 20:51, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here is the source from TVGuide.com http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-News-Blog/Tv-Guide-News/24-Trailer-Premieres/800025664 and the quote from the interview: “I show up, time has passed and I have a 1-year-old and a wedding ring, [and I'm] calling Morris (Carlo Rota) while I’m busy,” Rajskub said. “So far he’s taking care of the baby, but he’ll be around.” — Reporting by Rob Moynihan Angelriver (talk) 21:27, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Broken Page?[edit]

It looks like something is broken involving this wikipedia page. If someone more knowledgable could fix it so that all of the content is not stuck inside the right "facts" table, im sure everyone else would appreciate it. 68.109.129.237 00:40, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The "facts" table which you are referring to is an infobox used on all articles about characters from 24. It is meant to serve as a quick reference to information about the subject. --Kevin Walter 00:56, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Morris & Milo Working Together Prior To Day 1[edit]

I don't recall this ever being stated. However I do recall him saying that they did work together before. So i'm changing the article to prior to day 6 rather than prior to day 1. Neeknitsuj 01:16, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is shown in the 24 declassified novels, they work together there. 82.47.155.240 21:23, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:S6morris.jpg[edit]

Image:S6morris.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Statuses "not used"[edit]

Lucy-marie recently removed my edit, I re-added character statuses, yet she felt it necessary to delete these. I don't see how it hurts having the characters status there, but it's really not my decision, what does anyone else think about this? I put this question on the Bill Buchanan talk page as well, as that's the two pages I edited. And apologies for my inexperience with these messages.
