Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (a major rabbi in Israel, and in Shas, head of one of the largest kosher organization in Israel) --Ism schism (talk) 23:37, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I tagged the article before it was mentioned that he was the leader of the biggest Kosher organizations. I still have a problem with the fact that there isn't a lot of reliable sources of Moshe Yosef. Keep in mind that notability is not inherited, and by simply being the son of a leader of a large organization does not instantly make someone notable. All that is mentioned is that Moshe is the son of Ovadia and that he inherited his writings. All the sources that I found on Moshe so far have linked him to Ovadia. At the least, a simple redirect to Ovadia's article could be in order, as it would simply have all the info on Moshe be put into Ovadia's "personal life" section.
