Lead
  • Please add ALT text for the image in the infobox.
  • I would say "by" instead of "recorded by" as that appears to be the preferred phrasing for GAs and FAs on song articles (from my experiences at least).
  • It is not made clear in the lead that this is the second single from the album. I would add a bit like that for clarity. See "S&M" as an example of what I mean. It should ideally be in the second sentence as it is important information that should be introduced pretty quickly to the reader.
  • In the lead, you mention that Stan's vocals have been likened to Rihanna. I would add a bit clarifying that music critics are the ones making this comparison.
  • In the phrase "met the recording", I am not sure that the word "met" is the best choice. I would choose something stronger.
  • Do we have any recent sales figures on the single? If not, then it is fine as it currently stands, but I was just curious since you were citing information from 2013.
  • For the following phrase (it depicts Stan and two friends being arrested, interviewed by the police, put in jail and then escaping from the station.), I would condense the information and work on the flow to make it stronger as it reads a little awkwardly in its current state.
  • Please add a "Credits and personnel" section. Include the people who worked on the song as well as the recording locations
  • For the audio sample, I would expand on the "Purpose of use" portion to fully explain how it helps to illustrate the song beyond the text. The current description "Accompaniment to article describing song" is too short in my opinion.
Body of the article
  • Use Alexandra Stan's full name in the first instance in the body of the article.
  • I would add a topic sentence to the "Reception and accolades" section as well.
  • In the phrase "Yam Magazine wrote", identify the author by name if known as the magazine itself did not write this.
  • This song is very popular so I am surprised that the Reception section is rather short. Are there any more reviews of the song out there?
  • I do not see the value of the music video screenshot and would remove it. Music video screenshots are primarily only used when the particular scene has attracted critical commentary and attention.
  • The phrase "Scenes interspersed through the main plot" reads awkwardly, and I would suggest revising it to something else. I know what you mean, but it can be worded better.
  • What do you mean by "German event The Dome"? It should most likely read as "the German event The Dome", but "event" is very vague and needs further context beyond the location.
  • Was there any critical responses to Stan's live performances of the song? If so, add them to the article. Same goes for the critical responses to the cover versions done by other artists. I would imagine that someone commented on Gomez's cover as I would imagine there would be a lot of attention around her tours.
  • The final sentence in the first paragraph of the "Live performances and other usage" section is way too long. You do not need to list them all in a single sentence. It just makes it confusing for the reader. I would split them into separate sentences. You can group two together if you would like, but this is too much.
  • What do you mean by "a full-band approach"?
  • The second paragraph of the same section reads very awkwardly and needs to be completely revised.
  • Move the certifications table into its own section entitled "Certifications".
  • Include the music video in the External links.
Final comments

Wonderful work with this article. Once my comments are addressed, I will pass this. Aoba47 (talk) 16:06, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Aoba47: Thank you very much for the review! I wanted you to know that I have done all your points and clarified all the things that were to clarify in the article except 3 things: There are no newer worldwide sales figures for "Mr. Saxobeat" than those from 2013; I was also surprised when I saw that there are not many reviews of the song, escpecially because, as you said, it was such a big hit. I searched Google and Google News to death, but there are not many reviews of the song, not even a little Billboard paragraph about it. I was also surprised to see that the music video did not receive media attention at all, I know that section looks empty tho lol; unfortunately, there are no articles on the web commenting on Stan or Selena's live performances.
