  • ... that the Pakistani amateur chef and vlogger Mubashir Saddique uses farm fresh ingredients, and even mills his own flour? [1]
    • ALT1:... that the Pakistani YouTuber Mubashir Saddique, who now has 2 million subscribers, received only 10-20 views on his videos during the first six months? [2]
  • Reviewed: None. first DYK nom.

5x expanded by MistyGraceWhite (talk). Self-nominated at 19:30, 12 May 2020 (UTC).[reply]

  • As per DYKCheck tool, 'Assuming article is at 5x now, expansion began 18 edits ago on May 12, 2020', which meets 5x expansion criteria, even with a quick look over. At 2713 characters, the article is long enough. Seems adequately sourced. Earwigs says copy-violation unlikely. On using the Duplication Detector on Labs no close paraphrasing found, or phrases within limits. Just some minor clarifications:
  1. ALT0 says farm fresh while the source uses the word "garden". Are you sure you want to use 'farm fresh'?
  2. ALT1 is not that interesting. So many vloggers get very few views in the beginning? Are you sure you want to keep this one? Isn't there any alternate?
  3. And please just spread out some of the citations as per WP:OVERKILL. Especially where there are four or three together. This isn't a controversial subject that it needs multiple citations in one place.
  4. Also, is the controversy section really needed? If yes, maybe simplify it a bit more?
Please ping me once done. DTM (talk) 11:19, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As your review required.

  • ALT0 says farm fresh while the source uses the word "garden". Are you sure you want to use 'farm fresh'?
The BBC outlook program is a translation. He is a zamindar (farm overseer) so he picks them from his farm. Due to outlook translating his video and other stuff, the word got lost in translation I guess. In Pakistan we don't have gardens in our villages, there are just farms.
  • ALT1 is not that interesting. So many vloggers get very few views in the beginning? Are you sure you want to keep this one? Isn't there any alternate?
I am new to all this, could not think of anything.
  • And please just spread out some of the citations as per WP:OVERKILL. Especially where there are four or three together. This isn't a controversial subject that it needs multiple citations in one place.
I grouped them in twos, and moved others to appropriate location within the paragraphs,
  • Also, is the controversy section really needed? If yes, maybe simplify it a bit more?
I have simplified it so it is easier to understand. I think it should be there because he has become quite well known, but refuses to give interviews etc. to anyone due to his agreement with his village elders. MistyGraceWhite (talk) 12:59, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for making the changes and the explanations. I guess after reading ALT1 another time it is ok; it is sort of an anecdote in determination. ALT1 has a non-English hook - accepted in good faith. ALT0, ALT1 GTG. DTM (talk) 13:55, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, but I don't think a hook like this is going to get many clicks. Perhaps adding something more about his rudimentary cooking equipment might help, like:
  • ALT0a: ... that Pakistani amateur chef and vlogger Mubashir Saddique cooks with farm-fresh ingredients, earthenware pots, and a hand-built earthenware oven? Yoninah (talk) 00:11, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@User:Yoninah Yes, that does have a better vibe to it. Add that. any other concerns? MistyGraceWhite (talk) 14:44, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
