Merge[edit]

Both this and the other article are about the same person, and they should be merged. I don't particularly care for the spelling though, to be honest. "Muhammad" is standard, but what is with this letter E im "Metwally?" The closest spelling to standard pronounciation would be "Mutawalli" - The meem is followed by a dhamma and even for the attributive "ya" ending, nobody writes the letter Y in English; a simple letter I is enough. AS for his last name...The sheen is followed by an ain. An apostrophe is most commonly used for the letter ain in English, and again it doesn't need to end in Y. Thus I would suggest both pages are merged but that the article also have a new spelling - "Muhammad Mutawalli al-Sha'rawi." MezzoMezzo (talk) 03:48, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agree with merging. By the way, the spelling is probably due to how Egyptian convention in romanization. Here's an example of source that uses Metwally: Khaleej Times: Dr Shaikh Yusuf Estes named Islamic Personality of 2012 Syockit (talk) 12:09, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
