Political position[edit]

Here the political position can be discussed. I still stand by "Big tent" with a footnote. Akin to what is found with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A) alliances. ZlatanSweden10 (talk) 01:03, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I understand it's a tough call, since it is dominated by a centrist party and only has a small right-wing or center-right component. However, "big tent" seems to imply more ideological diversity. While it is true that it is a coalition of the center and the right (two different ideologies), they are not from different parts of the spectrum. In other words, every party to the right of the ANC is in this coalition and it probably would never admit a left-leaning party into its ranks. It positions itself as an ideologically more right-leaning alternative to the ANC and EFF. I'd say "center-right" is more appropriate. Parties that didn't make the ballot[edit]

Many parties didn't make the IEC signature cut, should we remove them?

UNP is not on any ballot
SNP is not on any ballot
ISANCO is only on the provincial ballot for the Eastern Cape, but as far as I know the Charter explicitly excludes provincial legislatures.
EPP is not on any ballot
UCDP not on any ballot

My 2c here: if they are officially removed from MPC member list, and a prominent publication is made mentioning this, then a paragraph could be added mentioning this.
