Validation by Vann's apprehension[edit]

"The algorithm’s identification of 15 unsolved strangulations in Gary, Indiana, was validated with the October 18, 2014, arrest of Darren Deon Vann by the Hammond Police Department. Vann confessed to multiple homicides and took police to abandoned properties in Gary, where the bodies of six previously unknown female victims were recovered." -> this is possibly misleading as no investigation as far as I know is currently held into the murders identified by MAP and Vann confessed and was sentenced based on completely different murders. I don't think such bold claims should be on wiki as Vann is presumably innocent of those 15 murders until proven otherwise... The modus operandi of Vann is hardly that unique to support that without further investigation.
