Image request[edit]

I saw in one of the articles of the Slovak Spectator that there is a memorial at the site of Tupy's killing. Can anyone provide an image of this? It would be a good addition to the article. --Elonka 12:56, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the image, CoolKoon! I also found one on Flickr, which the photographer graciously allowed us to use. He says he has others too, I will see about getting those as well. Feel free to move things around. If we have many photos, we can make a category for them at the Wikimedia Commons. --Elonka 22:40, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Daniel TupýMurder of Daniel Tupý – The article is about one specific and newsworthy event. WIth the current title the article appears to be a biography of the gentleman, but it is not. Indeed his life, important as he was to the people who surrounded him, was not and is not notable in a Wikipedia sense. The brutal act of his murder appeared in many reliable sources and thus qualified the act of his murder for an article in its own right, though others might argue, especially as time passes, that this might later be subsumed into a more general article about murders or crime in Slovakia.

It should be noted that no disrespect to him or those who are affected by his murder is intended by this request to move the article to a name congruent with current Wikipedia naming practices. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 11:19, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • support WP:BIO1E notability, should be about the event, not the person, since everything revolves around the event and its aftermath -- 70.24.250.103 (talk) 00:37, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Per WP:CRIME, the article should be about the crime itself, not the victim or the perpetrator. The crime is the notable incident; the victim is not notable for anything other than being the victim. --MelanieN (talk) 06:57, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Sad, but only notable in/for his death. -- Ohconfucius ping / poke 06:42, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
