Edit to biography[edit]

@Yorebelinda: I have a few notes about your recent edit to the biography section of the article. I see this is the first edit from your account, so you may not be aware of the various policies and guidelines for editing on Wikipedia. Please let me know if you have any questions and I can try to help. This article has been reviewed by multiple experienced editors who found no need to change the stated information, so I am going to revert your edit for now. Please don't take this as a criticism but as an invitation to discuss the edits. Some specific notes:

  • You added that Richey attended George Brown College for Assaulted Women’s and Children’s Counselling and Advocacy. This should have a citation to a reliable source, such as a graduation notice on the institution's website or coverage in the media. If you can find and post a URL here, on the talk page, I can fill out the citation template.
  • I felt there was some relevance to her working multiple part-time jobs. Similarly, that she was motivated toward an au pair position because she wanted to travel.
  • I felt that the statements from Richey's sister, Rachel, were worth including as an accounting of her character from someone who knew her well. This also serves to introduce who Rachel is for the subsequent sections. (When you removed the information, it became unclear who "Rachel" was in the later sections of the article.)
  • I think some of the phrasing you used did a nice job of tightening up the prose, but we should settle any content issues before worrying about the phrasing. There were also some style issues but those can likewise wait.

I hope to hear back from you and that this does not discourage you from editing. – Reidgreg (talk) 15:52, 10 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
