Nobel Peace Prize

[edit]

I can find no validation of the claim that she was twice nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, other than on unverifiable blogs (which have probably taken the information from this Wikipedia page anyway!). In fact, the official website for the Nobel prizes allows you to search its database for all past nominees, and her name comes up blank in a search

http://www.nobelprize.org/nomination/archive/search_people.php

UPDATE: The official Nobel website states that lists of Nobel nominees prior to 1939 are not kept. They speculate that Muriel Lester was one of several who "might have been" considered. http://www.nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/themes/peace/heroines/
