Proposed title change[edit]

I would like people's thoughts on an intended title change of this article. Currently, it is called "Music Hall War of 1907", but I feel that "war" is the wrong word to use here as to me, "war" conjures up ideas of violence, weapons and bloody conflicts, none of which occurred during this industrial conflict. I propose to change it to "Music Hall Strike of 1907". Cassiantotalk 14:22, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm in favour of that change. I don't, I confess, know much about the affair, but I have certainly heard of "the music hall strike" whereas I had never till today heard of "the music hall war". While you're canvassing opinion, you might like other people's views on capitalisation of the title. For myself, I prefer your all caps heading, but I think WP's style points us in the direction of sentence case, rather than title case. Our article on the genre is Music hall and not Music Hall. Interested to know what other editors think about this. Tim riley talk 19:44, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I agree -- we don't want the name of the article to confuse readers. I also feel the same way as Tim riley about the capitalisation, although this begs the question as to why he doesn't capitalise "Riley"? -- Ssilvers (talk) 19:54, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
A mere slip of the fingers back in 2006 when I logged in for the first time. A bit late to do anything about it now. But I'm not clear which bit of my comment you're agreeing with: are you suggesting we go for title case for this article, if and when moved? Flying in the face of the MoS, I think, tempting though it be.Tim riley talk 20:00, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that title case would look better, but if you two decide that the MOS requires sentence case, that is also acceptable to me. -- Ssilvers (talk) 21:14, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Now changed. Thanks to both! Cassiantotalk 22:49, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
