Summer Olympics 2012
[edit]The text and this photo state he got a bronze medal (one of three bronze medals in that event) in high jump in 2012, but the statistics say it was a silver medal. I suppose that might be because the russion goold medal maybe was taken back due to doping sanctions in the russian team. If right (I'm only guessing, no source), that should be mentioned and be explained in the text. ThomasPusch (talk) 02:47, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
Barsham or Barshim?
[edit]Most sources I see list him as "Barshim", including the Olympics website and his own Instagram. How did we settle on Barsham as the spelling? – PeeJay 11:12, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- Yep, his name is Barshim, according to his own website and IG. Corbon (talk) 21:56, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
- i have never seen him named "Barsham" on any official or personal source. In fact the References section had the Team Qatar link going to a 404 because the link was looking for "Barsham" not "Barshim". I've updated the reference links, as all are to pages labelled "Barshim".
- Olympic website
- World Athletics
- His personal Instagram
- His official website
- Sponsor Red Bull
- Oddly, a World Athletics results page from 2016 lists both Mutaz Essa and his brother Muamer Aissa, but spells Mutaz' surname Barshim and his brother's Barsham. Sophoife (talk) 21:44, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
