Local field?

[edit]

Should it really say "local field" in the introduction? In the Definition it is all about the field of fractions of a Dedekind domain, which in general is not a local field. Jmcommelin (talk) 19:44, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

To add some arguments to my above statement: Typically one wants to look at Néron models of an abelian variety over a number field. Number fields are not local fields, so I suggest we change the introduction accordingly. Jmcommelin (talk) 13:49, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Examples Needed

[edit]

This page should have some examples of Neron Models. A decent set of notes are given by http://people.math.sc.edu/kassj/Neron%20Models.pdf and http://wstein.org/edu/Fall2003/252/lectures/10-20-03/10-20-03-Neron_models.pdf gives an overview of the construction for Neron models. It would be nice to fill up the relevant pages with info from this construction. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Username6330 (talkcontribs) 22:06, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
