  • New enough and long enough. QPQ present. AGF on hook fact to two German sources. No neutrality issues. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 01:16, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Soman, Sammi Brie, and AirshipJungleman29: This nomination should probably be reopened. Can I query AGF on hook fact to two German sources. No neutrality issues. I find it odd that we are sourcing a hook to two official Nazi publications and then assuming good faith that the source supports the hook and is neutral. Shouldn't we at least have quotes and translations from the sources? TSventon (talk) 21:11, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notwithstanding that it's pretty odd to doubt the fact that a "central organ" of the Nazi party was given greater coverage than its rivals TSventon, citation 6 appears (with my limited German knowledge) to support the regions, which is good enough for me to AGF, personally. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 10:30, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
AirshipJungleman29, I wanted to check that somebody had verified the hook as Sammi Brie said she was AGF, thank you for confirming that you did. The relevant sentence from citation 6 states Der NS . Funk bringt und dadurch unterscheidet er sich von sämtlichen anderen Funkzeitschriften für jeden Sendebezirk eine eigene Senderausgabe . (NS. Funk has its own broadcaster's edition for each broadcasting district, and that is what distinguishes it from all other radio magazines . - via Google translate). The hook has changed "[an] edition for each broadcasting district" to "several regional editions" and it is possible that another publication could have had "several regional editions". • @TSventon: My apologies for being so tardy — pings are easy to miss when you are seeing family out of town. I am going to link this from WT:DYK which would probably have been a better place for it. Would not object to a modification if so desired. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 04:14, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Definition needed[edit]

The term "radio magazine" should be defined in the article. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 02:08, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Per this, is it more accurately described as a radio-focused magazine? Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 17:14, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The ed17, I think "radio magazine" means a magazine about radio and that doesn't need to be spelled out. It would be useful to add more detail from reliable sources on the content of the magazine, if available: several of the sources in the article are from the Nazi era and probably expected their readers to be familiar with the magazine. The link you provided discusses particular issues of four different titles, rather than specifically N.S.-Funk, also Papersplease.com is a selling site so I don't believe that it is a WP:RELIABLE source. TSventon (talk) 12:52, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
With that clarification, I added "radio-focused" magazine to make the topic clearer. I wasn't proposing to add papersplease as a source—it was just something I found on a Google search while trying to better understand the subject. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 16:46, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have rearranged the article and added a lead section. I have removed radio-focused as I felt it was not needed as the following sentence describes the content of the magazine. TSventon (talk) 19:00, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I appreciate that! It reads much clearer now. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 02:10, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Issue cover[edit]

Is the cover of that issue related to the marriage with Viktor de Kowa? --Conspiration 08:27, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Conspiration, the issue was published in 1939 and according to their de Wikipedia articles they married in 1941, so probably not. Tanaka's en Wikipedia article says they married in 1939, but de Kowa's says it was in 1941. TSventon (talk) 08:55, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
