N Wyn Evans[edit]

Please stope redirecting this page to a minor planet discoverer.

N. Wyn Evans holds a prestigious chair at Cambridge University. He has had a major impact on galaxy dynamics & formation. He once discovered a minor planet -- but that was only a very, very tiny part of his activity.

He has an H number of 104 (https://scholar.google.co.uk/citations?user=HDBoqvYAAAAJ&hl=en).

This means he has written 104 scientific papers that have been cited at least 104 times. he has over 59,000 citations (same link). This means he is one of the most highly cited ofd modern astronomers.

So can you please stop directing to teh minor planet discovery page. YBarddCwsc (talk) 00:28, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe consider writing a draft about him, rather than just trying to overwrite the redirect? It'd be easier, if slower, since you'd receive constructive feedback on what would need done to meet WP:NACADEMIC and there'd be less risk of unsourced biographical content being outright removed. —Jéské Couriano (No further replies will be forthcoming.) 00:48, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
