Sporting News[edit]

Is it true that the award is presented by the Sporting News? This season, the Sporting News named Pat Riley as the winner,[1] while the NBA named both Riley and Gar Forman as joint-winner.[2] Last season, the Sporting News named Sam Presti as the winner,[3], while the NBA named John Hammond as the winner.[4]MT (talk) 19:10, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

After some more research, I found that Sporting News has been removed from the official NBA Executive of the Year award since 2009.[5]MT (talk) 19:15, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't realize this. If so, then we need to update this.—Chris!c/t 20:08, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
